Hi everyone!
I've searched this site forever looking for hairstyles and nothing seems...well, worth the effort. I've usually seen celebrity hairstyles and to be honest, I don't want to look like a celebrity. I just want a hairstyle that I can do by myself [[without someone's help, curlers are a huge problem for me]], can be worn practically anywhere and doesn't take a long time to do.
I know I'm horribly picky, but I just want something for the summer. Does anyone have any ideas for me? If you yourself have curly hair, what do you do with it?
My hair is long enough to reach to the middle of my shoulder blades.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
Curly hair styles?
Well... I have curly hair, and I normally only have about 10 minutes to style it each morning, so here's what I do (I'll include a few different options at the bottom):
1. As soon as you get out of the shower use a SPRAY leave-in conditioner/detangler (I use V05), and comb it through with a wide-tooth comb.
2. Evenly distribute a palm-sized amount of mousse throughout your hair, then scrunch it with your hands.
3. Blow dry it just a bit, so it won't drip on your clothing (it looks better to air-dry).
4. That's it!
Here are some things I do sometimes as well:
Part it on the side.
Pull it half-up, but keep the part in the center and let a few strands hand down in the front.
Use the end of a comb to take a VERY SMALL section from the front of your hair, it should be about 2-3 inches wide... just as thick as bangs would be, and pull it back using a small hair clip.

Curly hair styles?
I have a little longer than shoulder length haircut and it's thick and not curly but wavy.I use a big banana clip or big brown hair clip and pin it all up or you can tie it which is easy for me.Takes seconds.I twist it all in the back and make a small hole in between the twisted hair and pull the twisted hair in the hole and pull tight enough to where it will stay and spray a mist of hairspray.

My hair is naturally curly and I have graduated layers in it. I just wash it at night and use lots of conditioner and leave a little bit in it.
Then in the morning I just wet my hair, towel dry it and comb it. I use Herbal Essence Body Envy Weightless Volumizing Gel (its like $3-4 at Walmart). I put about three squeezes in it and then work it through all of my hair.
Then I put a side part in it and then flip it upside down and scrunch it. Next I flip it back and put it how I want it and scrunch it a little more. When I have like I want it I spray Tresemme Curl Locking Spray in it ($3-4 at Walmart). It doesn't get frizzy unless it use too much spray in it.
I wouldn't recommend blow drying it because it frizzes it out. Also get it trimmed because split ends make curly hair look bad. Good luck!
