Hair style for shoulder-length hair????

i have shoulderish lenght hair and its always bugging me because it looks awful in a ponytail or bun and i never leave my hair down. since it has layers it doesn't fit into braids and it looks retarded in pigtails...

does anybody have any hairstyles for me??

women look best with their hair down. blowry it upside down using a round brush and combing it through. use some styling gel first like one that straigtens hair and locks in style. then get a straightener to calm down your hair and perfect the look. if u have straight hair already a cute style is clipping up the front with two bobby pins (that are crossed on top of eachother to keep them in). or blowdry your hair and then do this style. i personally leave some hair in the front when i clip up my hair. does that make sense?

It seems to me that you have the same type of hair as me, the same length and same problem(don't look in buns, ponytail etc), I went to nyc a couple of days ago(I live in Maine) to visit my grandma and I got my hair done and got side swept bangs, now I straighten it and leave it down, it looks great, especially with my side swept bangs.

wear headbands and the scarf type headbands. wear hair clips and little hairbows, they have some of those at hot topic. its stylish and looks cute at the same time!

I have 24 inches of hair from the scalp down and am giving 10 inches to Locks of Love. This means the hair will be to my shoulders. How should I get my hair cut? your idea sounds pretty cute...try to get it a little shorter than your shoulders and layered...that's a big style these days. get some cool highlights to bring out the colors in your hair, and maybe some sidebangs. just make sure that your hair is still long enough to put in a ponytail, it can get annoying if you can't get your hair out of your face.

You should get layers as you said have the shortest layers starting at like your top lip. And since you want it to be parted to the side consider getting side bands. They always look really cute!

she is a coworker of mine that never does her hair or wear makeup but for her sons wedding she has asked my help. She has brown hair shoulder length and it is verythin. IT has not been cut in a while and she has no intrest to do so. I am looking for formal up style because her dress has open back and shoulders. As I do not do hair I would need some instructions on how to do the hair style lol please help!!

You could pin it up, bring it together in a twist bun, or use clips. Even a hair piece like a flower on the side of your hair might do nicely. Or do what you think you might need. Just as long as it doesn't cause problems.

Here's a thought. At the beauty supply stores, the drug stores, and department stores they sell hair pieces that are attached to clips.

There are different colors that can match her color, and different types like curls so she could have the look of more hair without having to spend a lot of time getting ready.

To use the clips, she would just put her own hair in a ponytail, and clip the hair piece over the ponytail. Make sure the plastic clip is hidden...it looks tacky if it is showing.

Totally straight. What sort of event is it, what kind of dress and stuff. I love the straight hair. The curly is really good too. As long as it's on a beautiful girl, then all hair is good.

You may also want straight guard (so your hair dosent get damaged)

And then straighten your bangs to the side to which u want them.
